Christmas Party

We will have our Christmas party on Friday, December 18, from 12:00-12-40 pm.

Gift Exchange

Girls need to bring a girl's toy and boys need to bring a boy's toy to exchange if they want to participate in the gift exchange on December 18. Keep in mind that I give the children time to play with their gift so please purchase a toy that will be easy to play with in the classroom. Remember to send your child's gift by the morning of Friday, Dec. 18!!!!!

NO HOMEWORK - HAPPY THANSGIVING!!!!!

Since we have a short week, there will not be any homework this week. I hope everyone has a SAFE and FUN Thanksgiving Break!!!!!

We will begin taking the GRADE reading assessment when we return on Monday, November 30. Please be sure your child gets to bed early, gets plenty of rest, and eats a good breakfast. This will help him/her do their best on the assessment.

FALL FESTIVAL

There will be no school on Monday, October 19. This is only for Chandlers School. The teachers will be visiting other schools to observe what other teachers are doing in their classrooms around the county!!!

Parent - Teacher Conferences

Conferences will be held on Thursday, October 15, from 3:30-6:00 p.m. It will be done on a first-come, first-serve basis. Progress reports will be given on this night. Hope to see you here!!

LABOR DAY

Monday, Sept. 7, is Labor Day. We will be out of school that day to celebrate the holiday. Have a SAFE and FUN holiday weekend!!!! See you back at school on Tuesday, Sept. 8!!

Field Trip

Remember we will be going on a Field Trip to Russellville on Wednesday, Sept. 2. We have been studying about our community and community helpers. We will be visiting the police department, fire department, post office, and court house to get a first hand look at these community helpers and the services that are provided by them. We will leave school around 8:30 a.m. and return around 2:30 p.m.

GRADE assesment - end of year results

We finished taking the GRADE assessment last week. As you know at the mid-year level, our class scored 50 % that Benchmarked. Our class ended the year with 72% scoring the Benchmark level. I am very proud of their hard work and progress this year!!!! I know that you are also!!! Give them a high-five and a GREAT BIG HUG for their hard work!!!!!

Make up Snow Days

We will make up our first snow day, Monday, February 16. The last two have been added to the end of the school calendar year. They will be made up on Thursday, May 28, and Friday, May 29.

Beginning the Second Semester of the School Year

I hope everyone had a terrific Christmas break!!!! I know I did!!!! Now we need to be ready to get back to work and study very hard at home and at school to ensure your child is performing at grade level by the end of this school year. I am excited about having a very rewarding remainder of this year and seeing each of my students excel in their work!!!!
