LABOR DAY

Monday, Sept. 7, is Labor Day. We will be out of school that day to celebrate the holiday. Have a SAFE and FUN holiday weekend!!!! See you back at school on Tuesday, Sept. 8!!

Field Trip

Remember we will be going on a Field Trip to Russellville on Wednesday, Sept. 2. We have been studying about our community and community helpers. We will be visiting the police department, fire department, post office, and court house to get a first hand look at these community helpers and the services that are provided by them. We will leave school around 8:30 a.m. and return around 2:30 p.m.

Wednesday night - Read story in folder. Play CRASH with this week's spelling, high-frequency, and vocabulary words. Instructions for game: Cut word cards apart. Mix word cards up and place face down. Playing with a partner take turns reading words. Player reads until he/she comes to a word he/she cannot read or until a CRASH card is drawn. Next person takes turn. Continue until all cards have been read.

Thursday night - Read library book or story in folder. Write spelling words two times each.

Friday night - NO HOMEWORK
